Kaleigh Baker, with whom I proudly share the distinction of hailing from Orlando, FL, has a voice that grabs you and shakes you with such urgency that you can't help but be transfixed by it. We were lucky enough to have her stop by one hot summer afternoon to sing a couple songs for us off of her new release "Weary Hours", which you can (and should!) download here: http://kaleighbaker.com/merch/.
We used Peluso's P-12 to capture Kaleigh's dynamic vocals and strumming and then mic'd the Vox AC-15 (provided by our sponsors at Empire Music: http://www.empiremusiconline.com) with Peluso's tube ribbon TR-14. The results are honest and stunning.
